On May 20, 2024, Professor Wang Hongjiang, the dean, led a team of four people, including Vice Dean Ren Na, Shi Jiangping, the head of the Computer Science Department, and Hou Rongxu, the director of the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center, to Shanghai University of Engineering Science to conduct a special research on the accreditation work of the German Higher Education Internationalization Evaluation System (ASIIN). This research activity received strong support from the relevant departments of Shanghai University of Engineering Science. In particular, the detailed introduction by Xu Tenggang, the executive director of the European Higher Education Accreditation Research and Consulting Service Center, made the research team gain a lot.
During the research process, Director Xu Tenggang introduced in detail the experience of Shanghai University of Engineering Science in ASIIN accreditation. He first outlined the importance and process of ASIIN accreditation, including the writing of self-evaluation reports, the key links of on-site expert evaluation, and continuous improvement after accreditation. He also shared the specific measures of the school in teaching staff construction, curriculum design, practical teaching, etc., and how to meet the ASIIN accreditation standards by optimizing management and improving teaching quality.

Dean Wang Hongjiang said that the successful experience of Shanghai University of Engineering Science in ASIIN accreditation has important reference significance for the School of Information. He emphasized that through this research, the School of Information not only deepened its understanding of the ASIIN accreditation standards but also learned many practical methods and strategies. This will help the college to prepare and respond more efficiently in the future accreditation work.
With the acceleration of globalization and the in-depth development of education internationalization, ASIIN accreditation has become one of the important standards for measuring the quality of higher education. The School of Information will take this research as an opportunity to further strengthen connotation construction, improve the quality of education and teaching, and lay a solid foundation for cultivating high-quality talents with international vision and competitiveness.
