The School of Information held a meeting to revise the talent training program

In accordance with the requirements of Shenyang Institute of Engineerings 14th Five-Year Development Plan and the arrangements for revising talent cultivation programs, and to expedite the application process for engineering education accreditation at the School of Information, efforts have been made to earnestly advance the construction of Computer Science and Technology and Internet of Things Engineering programs. On the morning of July 15th, the School of Information convened a meeting on revising talent cultivation programs in Conference Room 203 of the Shenyang Institute of Engineering Science Park. The goal of this meeting is to cultivate high-quality technical and skilled talents that meet the needs of society and enterprises, thereby taking this opportunity to steadily advance the engineering education accreditation work of the School of Information.

The meeting was chaired by Wang Hongjiang, Dean of the School of Information. Attending the conference were Professor You Fucai, Director of the Academic Affairs Office; Professor Zhang Chen, an expert in teaching supervision at the university; Deputy Director Zhao Qun of the Academic Affairs Office; Party Secretary Fu Xuan and other members of the leadership team of the School of Information; heads of various majors; department directors; and core teachers. The external expert panel included Professor Wang Jun, Dean of the School of Computer Science and Technology at Shenyang University of Chemical Technology; Mr.Wang Shunjiang, Director of the Dispatching and Control Center of State Grid Liaoning Electric Power Co., Ltd.; Professor Xu Jianmin, CTO of ChinaSoft International Education Technology Co., Ltd.; Mr.Yang Xilai, CEO of Suzhou Insiwei Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd.; Professor Cong Lihui, Director of the Department of Computer Science and Technology at Shenyang Aerospace University; and Mr.Yuan Zhaoqiao, Executive General Manager of ChinaSoft International Shenyang Region.

At the beginning of the meeting, Professor Wang Hongjiang, Dean of the School of Information, delivered a welcome speech and introduced the basic situation of the school, its achievements in recent years, and future directions. Shi Jiangping, Director of the Department of Computer Science, and Song Min, Director of the Department of Internet of Things, respectively outlined the revision process of the training programs for Computer Science and Technology and Internet of Things Engineering. Subsequently, members from both internal and external expert groups engaged in a lively discussion on various modules including the training objectives, graduation requirements, curriculum system, faculty conditions, continuous improvement, and support conditions. They aimed to achieve the goal of "aligning majors with production, aligning course content with occupational standards, aligning teaching processes with production processes, and aligning academic credentials with professional qualification certificates." The discussions were conducted from perspectives such as engineering accreditation, major development, and corporate hiring needs, and they provided valuable opinions and suggestions for revising the talent cultivation program.

Finally, Professor You Fucai, the Dean of Academic Affairs, delivered a summary speech: The talent cultivation plan is the foundation of professional development. This revision meeting for the talent cultivation plan is significant for strengthening professional construction and improving teaching quality in the School of Information, as well as for cultivating qualified talents that can meet the demands of contemporary economic and social development. It also promotes the improvement and advancement of teaching at the School of Information. We must combine the new situation, new forms, and new requirements of higher education in our country, fully and deeply understand and practice the educational philosophy of "student-centered, outcome-oriented, continuous improvement," to enhance teaching quality and promote the development of the college and discipline construction.
